Create an Additional Pathway to Income

I didn’t start my doTERRA business because I was looking for another job.

I was already running a service-based business, raising two boys and building a life around my family. My husband is a musician, so flexibility has always been really important to us. When the doTERRA business opportunity was introduced to me, I loved the idea of creating a customer base that could generate an additional income stream for me without always having to trade my time for money through treatments.

I’ve now been building my doTERRA business for over 10 years, and along the way I’ve learnt a lot about what works, what doesn’t, and what I would do differently if I was starting again.

In the beginning, I went all in on doTERRA and actually pushed my service-based business to the side because I found it difficult to see how I could integrate selling products into my work. Looking back, I realise that was more about my own mindset than anything else. I had a block around sales and what it meant to be a business owner who offered both services and products.

I also had two very young children at the time, and I didn’t love the idea of needing to be away from them for more hours just to earn more income.

doTERRA gave me another option.

Over the years, my doTERRA business has provided me with a consistent additional income stream and, importantly, a level of flexibility that has fitted around our family life.

Between 2022 and 2024, we travelled around Australia for several months each year while my husband pursued his music career. Having an income stream that I could continue to build and manage while travelling gave me financial independence while also allowing me to feel like I was contributing to our family financially.

That experience changed the way I looked at business.

Fast forward to now...

I have found a balance that feels right for me.

I’m continuing to expand my bodywork and healing practice while also sharing doTERRA with people who genuinely want to incorporate natural products into their wellness routines.

I no longer see these as two separate businesses.

They complement each other.

And after 10 years of learning the ins and outs of building a doTERRA business and understanding the compensation structure, I’m excited to open up expressions of interest for doTERRA Business Mentoring.

If you’re a woman looking to diversify your income pathways, create more flexibility and explore what building your own doTERRA business could look like, I’d love to hear from you.

What does starting a doTERRA business involve?

Like any business, building a doTERRA business takes time, energy, consistency and a willingness to learn.

The difference is that you can start without needing a physical shop, clinic or large amount of stock. Your ongoing product order becomes part of your household wellness, while also giving you the opportunity to learn about and share the products you genuinely use and love.

The business grows by introducing new customers to doTERRA, helping them find products that suit their needs and supporting them to get the most from their accounts and Loyalty Rewards.

For me, the key to creating a sustainable business has never been about constantly selling.

It’s about having a strategy for how you want to grow your customer base, understanding who you want to work with and creating consistent habits that build over time.

This is where my mentoring comes in.

I want to help you avoid some of the mistakes I made when I first started, understand the business model, create a simple strategy and stay grounded and accountable as you build.

3 Months of Fortnightly Business Mentoring

I’m offering 3 months of fortnightly business mentoring with me to women who are ready to take action and build their own doTERRA business.

To qualify, you’ll need to:

1. Open your own Wellness Advocate account
Choose products you genuinely want to use, learn about and feel comfortable sharing with others.

2. Join the Loyalty Rewards Program
Commit to a monthly order of 125 PV so you can experience the products yourself while building your product knowledge and consistency.

3. Refer your first customer
Take the first step towards building your own customer base by introducing someone to doTERRA.

Once you’ve completed these three steps, we’ll organise a time for your first mentoring session and get your three-month plan underway.

I’m not here to promise overnight success or tell you that building a business is effortless.

I’m here to share what I’ve learnt over the last 10 years, help you create a strategy that fits your life, and support you to build something that can grow alongside your existing work, family and commitments.

If you’re ready to explore an additional pathway to income and want someone in your corner who has actually built one, I’d love to hear from you.
